Hudson Valley Drops Two at Hamilton JV Tournament

The Hudson Valley Community College hockey team fell to 2-11 on the season after losing two games at the Hamilton College JV Tournament over the weekend. Hudson Valley suffered an 8-1 setback to the Lowell Junior LockMonsters on Saturday, January 25. The Vikings then fell, 8-1, to host Hamilton on Sunday, January 26.

Freshman forward Mike Guilfoil (Liverpool/Liverpool High School) scored the Vikings lone goal against Lowell. Freshman goalie Dave Baranowski (Valley Falls/Hoosic Valley High School) made 50 saves for Hudson Valley.

In the consolation game against Hamilton, sophomore forward Brian Mohan (Waterford/LaSalle Institute) netted his fourth goal of the season for Hudson Valley. Freshman goaltender Michael Suarez (Slingerlands) stopped 41 shots in his first start of the season.

Hudson Valley returns home to host Broome Community College on Wednesday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m.
