Hudson Valley Rebounds to Defeat Broome 6-3

Hudson Valley Community College (1-1) scored three second-period goals and hung on to defeat Broome 6-3 on Saturday, November 9.

With the score tied 2-2 heading into the second period, Hudson Valley's Andrew Carnevale (North Greenbush/LaSalle Institute) scored off an assist from Luke Paye (Pulaski/Pulaski High School), 2:30 into the second period, to give the Vikings the lead. Only 30 seconds later, Mike Guilfoil (Liverpool/Liverpool High School) doubled the team's advantage on a power play goal.

Six different players scored for the Vikings in the contest. Joining Carnevale and Guilfoil in the scoring column were Paye, Brent Sheehan (Troy/Christian Brothers Academy), Matt Luther (Guilderland/Guilderland High School) and Brian Mohan (Waterford/LaSalle Institute).
