Four Hudson Valley Football Players Named Preseason All-Americans

The National Junior College Athletic Association has named four returning Hudson Valley Community College football players to its Honorable Mention Preseason All-American list. In addition, Hudson Valley was listed in the others schools receiving votes category of the preseason poll.

Offensive tackle Adrian Brown (Baltimore, MD/Randallstown High School), wide receiver Tim Bush (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School), cornerback James Romain (Far Rockaway/Far Rockaway High School) and linebacker David James (Oxon Hill, MD/Oxon Hill High School) all were named to the Preseason All-American team.

Bush was a First Team All-Northeast Conference selection his freshman year after leading Hudson Valley with 31 catches for 340 yards and two touchdowns.

Romain had five interceptions, returning three for touchdowns last year. He also averaged 19.7 yards per punt return, including a 70-yard return for a touchdown.

James finished the 2005 campaign with 34 tackles, 2.5 sacks and an interception.

Hudson Valley will open its season on Friday, September 8 at West Point’s Michie Stadium against Army Prep. The game will begin at 5 p.m.
