The preseason college football magazines recently have arrived on newsstands nationwide and Hudson Valley Community College is well-represented on the projected depth charts throughout the country.

In Athlon's College Football Preview Magazine, former Hudson Valley players Keith Hill, Buchie Ibeh and John Howell IV are listed on the two-deep for their respective teams.

Hill is in his senior season as a defensive end at the University of Pittsburgh. He contributed 16 tackles for the Panthers last year. Ibeh, who caught five passes for Temple University last season, is a projected starting wide receiver for the Owls in 2004. Howell led the Vikings' defense with 63 tackles last season and is expected to be one of New Mexico State University's top linebackers this fall.

Six other former Vikings also participated in spring drills and will be on NCAA Division I-A rosters this fall.

Wide receiver Derrick Dyer, defensive back Antwan Cunningham and offensive lineman Leroy Auguste are playing for the University of Buffalo. Dyer led the Bulls with three receptions in their opening game a year ago before suffering an injury that sidelined him for the rest of the season. Cunningham broke up three passes in Buffalo's spring game in April and will be playing his first season with the Bulls this fall.

Shadee Davis, who had 14 career sacks for Hudson Valley in 2001 and 2002, is a defensive lineman for West Virginia University. Audwin Davis, who contributed 42 tackles for the Vikings in 2002, is a linebacker at the University of South Florida. Former quarterback Ross Jackson is playing at East Carolina University.

Hudson Valley will open its 2004 campaign on Saturday, September 4 against Navy Prep in Newport, Rhode Island.
