Hudson Valley's Emmanuel Marc and Damion Malott Recognized by the Northeast Football Conference

The Northeast Football Conference recognized two Hudson Valley Community College (2-0) football players for their performances in last Sunday's 40-0 win over the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's junior varsity team.

Sophomore running back Emmanuel Marc (Spring Valley/Spring Valley High School) was named the Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 132 yards and four touchdowns against RPI JV. He leads the league with 141.5 rushing yards per game and six touchdowns this season. Marc, who has run for 1,518 yards in his 11-game career at Hudson Valley, is only 207 yards short of setting the college's career rushing record. Dennis Greene amassed 1,724 career-rushing yards in 1971 and 1972.

Freshman safety Damion Malott (Akron, OH/Akron North) was named the conference's Special Teams Player of the Week. He returned four punts for 52 yards against RPI JV. His 16.8 yards per punt return leads the conference this season.

Hudson Valley will host defending conference champion SUNY Morrisville on Saturday, September 20 at 1 p.m.
