Men and Women Compete in Delhi 5K Classic

The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's cross country team ran in the SUNY Delhi 5K Classic on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The men came in second place out of five teams and the women had an incomplete team of four runners.

The top runner for the men was, once again, Eric Young (Shaker/Latham), who came in 5th place out of 45 runners with a race time of 17:09. Adam Coolong (Saratoga/Saratoga Springs) had a great day, coming in 11th with a time of 17:33 and Devon Sedgwick (Shaker/Latham) followed him in 17th place.

Amanda Slyer (Averill Park/Troy) paced the Lady Vikings, coming in 11th place with a time of 23:14. Nicole Dootz (Bethlehem/ Feura Bush) took 12th place, 16 seconds behind Slyer.

The men and women next run in the Green Mountain Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 16, their last meet before the Mountain Valley Conference Championship.
