Four Vikings Earn Conference Honors

The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (25-10) had three players named to the All-Conference Team, and Coach Alexander Jurczynski was named Conference Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Darren Conte (Hudson/Hudson) led the Region and finished 5th in the Nation in batting with a .512 average on the season. He led the Vikings with 43 total hits, 12 doubles and 35 RBIs, and posted a team-low 0.61 ERA in 14.2 innings during the regular season. Outfielder Connor McDonough (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) was also named to the All-Conference Team. McDonough batted .381 with a team-high 13 stolen bases and 22 walks on the year, and was also very solid in the outfield with a .983 fielding percentage. Also joining Conte and McDonough is pitcher Caleb Gregg (Chatham/Chatham). Gregg logged a team-high 31.2 innings with 31 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.42.
