The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (9-3) split with SUNY Adirondack (6-16) on Sunday afternoon. The Vikings lost game one 5-0, but came back to take game two 3-1.

Hudson Valley was shutout in game one and couldn’t really get anything going offensively. Dustin Conte (Hudson/Hudson) led the team going 2-2 at the plate, and Garrett Klahr (Shaker/Latham) and Jeff Bink (Colonie/Colonie) each went 1-2 in the loss.

It was all Caleb Gregg (Chatham/Chatham) in game two, as he tossed seven strong innings, allowing no earned runs and five strikeouts. Nicolas Teitter (Saugerties/Saugerties) led the Vikings going 3-3 with a triple, and Connor McDonough (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) added two doubles and an RBI in the win.

The Vikings travel to Mohawk Valley on Tuesday for a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
