Hudson Valley Baseball Beats RPI JV, Loses to Saint Rose JV

The Hudson Valley Community College (25-16) baseball team split a pair of games with RPI JV and Saint Rose JV at RPI today. Hudson Valley defeated RPI JV, 12-1, and suffered a 5-2 loss to Saint Rose JV.

Sophomore Nick Testo (Wynantskill/Troy High School) was three-for-four and drove in four runs to lead Hudson Valley in the opener versus RPI JV. Sophomore Mike Hart was three-for-three with a double and two RBI.

Sophomore pitcher Phil Carr (Shandaken/Onteora High School) picked up the win on the mound for the Vikings. He allowed one unearned run and five hits in five innings of work. He struck out four.

Troy Conklin scattered two runs and five hits over eight innings of work for Saint Rose JV in the victory. He struck out three.
