New Student Academic Advisement and Orientation
New students who have completed or been waived from academic placement testing will need to meet with an academic advisor to select/schedule their courses for the first semester and attend a New Student Orientation session.
NOTE: Students in the Chemical Dependency Counseling certificate and degree, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, EMT-Paramedic certificate, Nursing and Surgical Technology certificate and degree programs will receive academic advisement and orientation within their academic departments before the semester begins. Students in these programs are required to attend the program-based orientation events instead of the college's New Student Orientation.
New student academic advisement and orientation are now scheduled separately (effective March 2018). Please use the information on this page to schedule times to complete both advisement and orientation.

New students are required to attend New Student Orientation prior to the start of classes, either before or after their academic advisement appointment. Go to the New Student Orientation webpage for information about scheduling and attending.
